YNET: Israelis traveling in Germany to get work visas
Agreement to be signed as part of Merkel's state visit stipulates Israelis on short-term visits to Germany can get work visas almost automatically

Attila Somfalvi, February 23, 2014

With Israelis moving to Berlin in droves and a delegation led by German Chancellor Angela Merkel set to land in Israel Sunday, a new deal allowing Israelis traveling in the country to work in Berlin has been announced.

The number of visas will be limited and to attain the work permit, Israelis will have to file a request with Berlin authorities.

According to the agreement that will be signed during Merkel's visit to Israel with her cabinet, Israeli citizens' applications for work visas will be almost automatically approved.

Currently, Israelis with background in professions sought by the Germans can legally work in the country. The current agreement is an attempt to allow young Israelis touring the country for a number of months to earn during their travels. (cont.)

A picture is worth a thousand words... Did the Israeli Prime Minister just violate the recently passed, sham law, prohibiting Nazi imagery?

I was worried, at first, that the number of Israelis flocking to Germany for career opportunities, or just to run away from their physical and spiritual challenges here in Israel, the only, true homeland of the Jewish People. But, after this photo, perhaps not so many will succeed in doing so as thought with this latest "guilt offering" and/or a "Two-State Solution" bribe from Germany. Israel, if not the Prime Minister himself, will no doubt be blamed for this accidental photo.

I say accidental, because I do not think that anyone this close to the Prime Minister would have the guts to pull something like this. Furthermore, where were these photographers and journalists' brains while in the editing room, for goodness sakes?!

Nevertheless, if the shoe fits..., or in this case, if the shadow mustache fits....

I have already heard from many how "offensive" it is to dare compare Merkel with Hilter (may his name and memory be blotted out!). But, I personally do not believe this is the point of this "accidental," yet non-coincidental photo. Rather, maybe, just maybe, we are not supposed to be allied with, compromise with, trade with, let alone listen to, and feel pressure from Germany. That would go doubly so for leaving the Holy, Jewish Homeland to go work in the same country of probably our bitterest experiences in exile,...special effects photo, or not.
